Commencement

The University of Connecticut Health Center traditionally holds its official commencement ceremony in May at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford, Connecticut. This ceremony recognizes graduates from its School of Medicine, School of Dental Medicine, and Graduate School, which is comprised of multiple Health Center-based programs such as Biomedical Science, Dental Science, Clinical and Translational Research and Public Health. The ceremony also includes those students who may have completed their studies in the August or December terms.

Commencement is the highlight of the Health Center’s academic year. Ceremonies are widely attended not only by students, their families, and faculty, but also by UConn and state dignitaries, including members of the board of trustees, board of directors, and state legislators.

The Health Center commencement ceremony is synonymous with academic honor. At this ceremony, the Health Center acknowledges the many significant achievements of its very talented graduates.
